Inspiration Board: Art Nouveau Wedding Ideas
The early 20th century gave us a wealth of beauty. Movements like, Art Nouveau are filled with graceful lines, spectacular muted palettes, and ornate motifs which are all ideal for wedding planning. From vintage engagement rings to Tiffany inspired cakes, there was no shortage of inspiration when I set out to create this inspiration board.
1. Organic beauty and natural grace embody Art Nouveau's swirls and flowing motifs. And, I can think of no more beautiful of a place than Historic Cedarwood in Nashville, TN. The property is alive with picture perfect vistas. This specific wedding, featuring Nicole and Cory, photographed by Ace Photography, shows the amazing attention to details by their floral designers as well as the properties sweeping vistas.2. This lovely invitation from Dear Emma Stationary is pure Art Nouveau! I love not only the muted palette but the spirited design that is alive with movement. These invitations are available on their website and Etsy page.3. Art Nouveau fans will love both Claire Pettibone's gown with gold embroidery inlay, rose colored velvet details, and platinum silk as well as her stunning head piece. Pettibone is a master at combining vintage styling with modern trends.4. In the great Tiffany tradition, this two tiered stained glass inspired cake by Maggie Austin is beautiful, feminine, organic, and spectacular. Plus, the ruffled tier pulls out the lovely blue-green color in her design.5. Many of Jabel's engagement ring settings have antique themes, but this particular palm motif vintage style engagement ring is perfect for a lover of Art Nouveau.
